Yeshua, Mashiach ben Yosef (Messiah ben Joseph)

If you are new to this blog I recommend you to start with reading this post: Testimonial -How I found out that the historical Yeshua (hebrew: Yehoshua) taught Torah and how I started to follow him.

[Here follows my slightly edited reply to a person. I removed what he wrote since it is a private conversation.:]

Anointed by female talmidim?

If the described anointing that you refered to did occur, then it must have been done by his wife, since a Ribi never would have allowed  to be anointed by any woman except for his wife.

Just a reminder: It is important to not rely of any ‘gospels’ in order to determine what Ribi Yehoshua taught. Only authoritative account of his life is Netzarim Reconstruction of Hebrew Matityahu [Documentation].

Anointed by a kohen and a prophet?

Some quotes in order to answer your question:

“However, even for valid Kohanim Scripture makes it explicitly clear that the required documentation by public genealogical registries cannot be circumvented (Nәkhemyah 7.63) (Kohanim today are ceremonial; honored as having traditional descent; but none would qualify for service in the Beit ha-Miqdash.)”

Ko•hein, pl. כֹּהֲנִים (Ko•han•im; priests genealogically descended from A•har•on, and later Tzâ•doq. (cf. Yәkhëz•qeil 44.15), able to prove their genealogy from the ancient Yu•khas•in public registers (Nәkhëm•yâh 7.63)—which were destroyed by the Romans!!! The Ko•hein ha-Ja•dol is the High (lit. “big”) Priest.” [Source]

Proven in the above articles and quotes, there are no more legitimate kohanim and will never be, since Torah requires that a kohein should be able to prove his genealogy from the ancient Yu•khas•in public registers.  As documented above (including the Yukhasin-link), these genealogies were destroyed. Thus, there can never more be any Mashiach anointed by a kohein.

There are Messianic prophecies that Ribi Yehoshua fulfilled and which never can be fulfilled by anyone else:
Documentation: Link 1Link 2 (including the subsection ‘shiakh of Tana”kh Subverts Tana”kh to be the shiakh?’)
Mâ•shiakh, from the root verb מָשַׁח (mâ•shakh; to smear olive-oil on, anoint); the Biblical (i.e., pre-Displacement Theology) meaning is “anointed with sanctified olive oil by Jewish religious leaders recognized by the main Jewish community in Israel.” [Source]

Ribi Yehoshua was a Ribi. Thus, he had semikhah from Raban Jamliyeil. He was appointed by the ‘Jewish religious leaders recognized by the main Jewish community in Israel’. If he was anointed by them, I cannot tell. If it is a requirement of the Tana”kh that he must have been anointed by them, then surely he was; or there has never been any Mashiakh ben Yoseiph, nor will there ever be any Mashiakh ben Yoseiph, based on the above reasoning including all the links.

The knowledgeable Raban Jamliyeil didn’t dismiss the possibility that Ribi Yehoshua could have been the Mashiakh ben Yoseiph: Documentation. So to his knowledge, Ribi Yehoshua had fulfilled that which was required to be fulfilled by the Mashiakh ben Yoseiph, since otherwise he would have precluded that he was the Mashiakh ben Yoseiph.
Have a nice day!!
